The Constitutional and Political Study Centre occupies a unique position in the legal and political disciplinary fields. At the interface of public law and political science, the CECP has an open policy towards history and canon law, and plans to develop its activities in the latter field.
As well as its numerous publications of exceptional quality written by its members in a personal capacity, the centre is sometimes involved in the publication of new editions of great classics (Esmein, Duguit).
It has regularly organised major symposiums in collaboration with the French Senate and Oxford University in particular.
The CECP created the Observatoire de Jurisprudence Constitutionnelle - Observatory of Constitutional Jurisprudence (http://ojc.u-paris2.fr/): a network of university researchers to analyse French jurisprudence in constitutional matters.
