At the top of several rankings, the university stands out and excels!

Paris-Panthéon-Assas University confirms the excellence of its programs following the latest results published by prestigious national rankings such as the Eduniversal ranking of the best bachelor's degrees, the Eduniversal ranking of the best master's degrees, and the Thotis 2023 rankings. Internationally, the university appears for the first time in the GreenMetrics ranking and in the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking. In addition to these rankings, Le Figaro published for the first time the ranking of the best law universities in France. 

According to Stéphane BRACONNIER, the university president, "These results are the benefit of the entire university community's work to offer excellent programs that meet the expectations of businesses."

International ranking

Times Higher Education (THE)

Paris-Panthéon-Assas University appears in the 5th edition of the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Impact ranking, among the 22 referenced French institutions. The ranking measures the universities' influence based on the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The university's inclusion in this ranking rewards the efforts made over many years to promote sustainable development and the fight against inequalities. This recognition confirms the university's commitment to finding sustainable solutions to contemporary global issues.

GreenMetrics Ranking

Paris-Panthéon-Assas University made its debut in the global GreenMetrics last December, which assesses universities based on their environmental actions. The university ranks 2nd in France (and 951st globally out of 1050 participating universities). This result further encourages the ambition of Paris-Panthéon-Assas University to reduce its ecological footprint related to teaching and research activities on its campuses.

National rankings

The Thotis ranking of universities in economics and management (2023)

This ranking has confirmed that Paris-Panthéon-Assas University maintains its position as the best university in France for economics and management, tied with Paris-Saclay. This ranking is based on four criteria: median net salary (in €), employment rate (%), percentage of graduates in managerial or intermediate professional positions, and percentage of scholarship recipients. Additionally, the university is ranked 4th among the best universities in information and communication.

Le Figaro Étudiant 2023

Le Figaro Étudiant has published, for the first time, a ranking of the top 30 universities in France. The ranking takes into account several criteria, including the high school graduation results of admitted students, the number of applicants for undergraduate programs through Parcoursup, post-graduation salaries, the number of defended theses, the number of doctors who passed the private law aggregation exam, and the university's ranking in the Shanghai ranking.

Paris-Panthéon-Assas University has secured the first position in the ranking and stands out from other universities. According to the ranking, students graduating from the university receive a monthly salary of €3,000 upon completing their master's degree. Furthermore, a larger number of students have defended their theses between 2020 and 2022 (a total of 175), and more students from the university have obtained qualifications to become lecturers in 2022.

Thotis ranking of law universities (2023)

The Thotis ranking of universities in law (2023) is based on the annual survey conducted by the Ministry, which gathers information on master's degree graduates 30 months after obtaining their diploma.

Paris-Panthéon-Assas University has maintained its position as the top law university in France in the Thotis ranking, considering four criteria: remuneration, employment rate, attractiveness of the universities on Parcours Sup (the centralized admission platform in France), and equal opportunities. It is ranked number one in law based on the criterion of median net salary (€3,000).

Eduniversal 2023 Bachelor ranking

The Bachelor's degree in Law and the Double Bachelor's degree in Law-Economics-Management rank at the top of the best Law Bachelor's degrees according to the Eduniversal 2023 ranking.

Five other programs are nationally ranked in the top 10 in four different disciplines :

  • In Insurance
  • In General Management and Business Administration
  • In Economics
  • In Communication and Media

Eduniversal 2023 Master ranking

This year, 30 Masters programs from Paris-Panthéon-Assas University are featured in the Eduniversal ranking, with some reaching the top of the list. In Law, the Master's in Business Law, specializing in European Business Law and Competition Law, as well as the Master's in Social Law, specializing in Labor Law and Employment Practices, take the lead for the second consecutive year. Other Masters programs also hold strong positions at the national level. This includes the Master's in International Management and Business, specializing in International Management and Business, which has risen from third to first place in Economics.
