The Center for Private International Law and International Trade (CRDI) brings together professors, researchers, and doctoral students specializing in private international law and international trade. Organized as a research team, it succeeded the Laboratory of Private International Law and International Trade in 2009, which itself had replaced the original CRDI created in 1970 following the division of the University of Paris.
The CRDI manages a rich documentary collection established through the initiative of Phocion Francescakis and Henri Batiffol in the legendary "salle 102" of the Pantheon center. This library, frequented by generations of private international law experts not only from Paris Panthéon-Assas University and Paris 1 university but also from other French and foreign universities, serves as an exceptional venue for scholarly exchange and interaction among specialists.
The conferences held in salle 102 are now filmed, and the videos can be accessed through the links provided.
