Public Law Cultures is a research centre incubated by the Cujas Institute. As well as doctrinal and technical analysis of the core areas of domestic public law (constitutional law, administrative law, public finance, taxation law), its mission statement is to study these areas in all their cultural dimensions. History, doctrinal thought, economic analysis are therefore covered, not as ends in themselves, but as means towards a better intelligibility of positive law, as tools for understanding contemporary law analysed in the light of its cultural environment.
