This gathering marked the end of the first semester in a convivial and warm atmosphere among international students and alumni, in the presence of professors and program directors Pr. Malik LAAZOUZI and Pr. Daniel COHEN, the Panthéon-Assas Foundation, and the Assas Welcome Desk team.
The international students, welcomed this year into our four LL.M. programs, took advantage of this festive event to get to know each other, share their initial impressions of their new life in Paris, and talk about their previous experiences. This event is just one of many opportunities for students to form lasting friendships and professional connections.
The event saw an enthusiastic response from alumni, who joined the celebration to reconnect with their alma mater and share their professional journeys. We were happy to reconnect with Stavros TSIOVOLOS (AWArDS 2024), Berin SZÓZKA (European Law 2024), Jonathan LEIBU (International Business Law 2024), Laura-Béatrice ZANELLA (International Business Law 2024), Kirill PETROVICH (International Business Law 2024), Yash SETH (International Business Law 2023), Larissa ARAUJO (International Business Law 2023), Marco PORTILLO DIAZ (AWArDS 2023), Georgios RALLIS (AWArDS 2022), and Maria Camila LIZARAZO GONZALEZ (International Business Law 2022).
Alumni shared cherished memories of their time at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University and offered insights on their professional paths post-LL.M. The event concluded on a high note, with promises of more events, meetings and networking opportunities in the coming months.
PALS association, a vibrant new initiative, is led by a group of LL.M. students representing the LL.M. AWArDS, LL.M. European Law, LL.M. International Business Law, and LL.M. Public Law and Democracy programmes. The new association includes Noemi SIMON as President, Maria FISSORE as Vice-President, Patryck DOBROWOLSKI as Secretary, Reka SZTARAY as Treasurer, Marie KRUMEICH as Vice-Treasurer, Willem LAHAYE as Communications and Social Media Manager, Carlos PAREJA as Social Events Manager, Elia TOKMAK as Corporate Relations Manager, and Jane JEZHI as Alumni Manager.
The association's primary goal is to foster a dynamic community among LL.M. students in Paris, providing ample opportunities for networking, academic collaboration, and professional development. Additionally, PALS aims to bridge the gap between current students and alumni, facilitating the sharing of invaluable experience and advice.
