Created in December 2005, the Laboratoire d'économie moderne (Laboratory of Modern Economics) has facilitated the scientific, institutional and geographic convergence, within the Panthéon-Assas University, of researchers whose research areas, close or complementary, can be broken down essentially into three recognisable axes:
The research programmes are focused primarily on theories of learning, decision making and games, uncertainty and behavioural patterns behind decisions in risky or uncertain circumstances, institutional and theoretic aspects of a market-funded economy, monetary policy and exchange rate regimes, inequalities connected with the way a labour market works.
