Current Legal Issues

Texte

Dr. Dominik SchäfersPD Dr. Dominik Schäfers, LL.M. is a researcher at the Institute for International Business Law at the University of Münster. His research covers inter alia the challenges that digitalization, big data, and artificial intelligence pose to the field of private law, specifically contract law. In his presentation, Dr. Schäfers will illustrate by means of some specific examples to which extent corporations are using data, that we all generate by for instance browsing the web or using facebook, to manipulate our private consumer behavior so that the question arises whether private law is still able to guarantee in the age of digitalization that we are not externally controlled like a puppet.

La conférence se déroulera en anglais.
