Pierre-Emmanuel AUDIT, maître de conférences à l’Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas, animera une conférence sur le thème « The impact of Behavioral Analysis of the Law on Legislation » le lundi 8 avril à 15h.

Synopsis:

« Behavioral Analysis of the Law is a field of study at the crossroads of Law and Psychology. It seeks to inform legislators and lawyers on the limits of human rationality (cognitive biases and heuristics of reasoning) and more precisely on how those limits should be taken intro account when formulating, applying, or assessing the effect of a given rule of law. For instance, a mere change in the formulation of a given rule can increase the respect of that rule.
After a brief introduction on the field of Behavioral Analysis of the Law, this conference will look at examples of how this intriguing knowledge can be or has been used by the legislator to achieve certain goals or better protect citizens. »
