This course on English for finance will be taught from an English for Specific Purposes perspective, as we will use language as an entry point into the financial world. Through the lens of various documents (texts, graphs or videos), we will analyse, compare and contrast different concepts at use in economics and finance.
Topics to be covered will include the role of finance in the economy, how to measure corporate performance, new investment trends, professional English, among others. The oral presentations, role plays and class discussions will provide a framework for identifying, analysing and discussing these topics.
