Programme de cours :
Sustainable finance incorporates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into
financial decision-making. This course will introduce students to the theory and practice of
sustainable and responsible finance.
Here is a sampling of the questions we will address:
• What are the drivers and challenges of financing firms' sustainable activities?
• What sustainable finance tools are currently available?
• Should sustainability be included as a fiduciary duty in the investment process? How
can companies balance maximizing shareholder value while addressing
stakeholders' interests? Can investors drive sustainable investment as shareholders?
• What is the relationship between ESG factors and company financial performance?
Is there a "sustainable" premium?
• What sustainability information disclosure rules should companies follow? Do we
need a unified classification system or taxonomy for sustainable investments?
