Mme Amélie RIBIERAS, maîtresse de conférences en civilisation américaine et anglais juridique, animera une conférence de Current Legal Issues sur le thème « Antifeminism and the Equal Rights Amendment: the state of gender equality in the United States (1972-2025) » le vendredi 11 avril de 10h à 12h dans l'amphithéâtre 3 du centre Assas.

« Are women and men equal under the law in the United States? Does the Constitution even include the word “woman”? This talk will look at the antifeminist backlash that has sprung in the US since the 1970s in reaction to the feminist mobilization for the ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment, and it will assess the recent impact of Donald Trump’s and Joe Biden’s presidencies on this process. »
