Conférencier : Vernon BOGDANOR

Portrait de Vernon BODGANORVernon BOGDANOR CBE is professor of government at the Institute of Contemporary British History, King’s College London. He was for many years professor of government at Oxford University. In 2019, he was a visiting professor at Yale University. He is a fellow of the British Academy, the Royal Historical Society and the Academy of Social Sciences and an honorary fellow of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies.

He is a frequent contributor to TV, radio and the press and was the BBC’s academic expert on the 2010 election programme and the 2016 referendum programme. He has written widely on government and politics, including the following books: The People and the Party System, The Monarchy and the Constitution, Power and the People: A Guide to Constitutional Reform, The British Constitution in the Twentieth Century, The New British Constitution, Beyond Brexit: Towards a British Constitution and Britain and Europe in a Troubled World (2020, Yale University Press). His latest book is entitled Politics and power before the first World War: the strange survival of liberal Britain (2022).
