The objective of this course is to provide students with a good understanding of the organizational culture of financial institutions and a good command of financial English.
Topics covered include corporate banking, accounting, project finance, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, fixed income products, financial derivatives, negotiation techniques, and career management issues.
In addition to deciphering the culture of investment banking, a key objective of the course is to enable students to enhance their communication skills, with a view to producing high quality business reports, delivering effective and powerful presentations, and successfully negotiating deals in an international and professional setting.
Students receive instruction in the form of 90-minute lectures twice a week. The banking and finance industry is a highly demanding and competitive professional environment, and students will be enticed to perform at high standards.
